Look Good Feel Better At Totem
Totem greets guests
More commonly the scene of impromptu brain-storming sessions and casual chats, Totem’s atrium performed a higher purpose on the evening of May 11 when we hosted the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association’s Look Good Feel Better 2010 Cocktails and Crystals event.
Attendees comprised a “who’s who” of the Canadian publishing, advertising and marketing communities.
Mingling and munching on amuse bouches by The Moveable Feast, more than 100 program sponsors, corporate donors and cosmetic company representatives feted “the collective contribution of many of our members of the cosmetic association, program sponsors and corporate donors,” explained Sherry Abbott, Executive Director of the CCTFA.
A bevy of awards honoured 70 program sponsors. LGFB also celebrated companies who co-branded to “friend-raise” and fundraise for the program. “We’re all here to celebrate their support. We like to say that we’re the cosmetic industry’s charity of choice,” Abbott said.
Awards aside, the guests of honour were the courageous women featured in this year’s Look Good Feel Better magazine that was also launched that evening. Produced by Totem and distributed with various beauty, fashion and lifestyle publications, the magazine will reach cancer care facilities and hospitals, along with the 111 host site facilities where the CCTFA holds its free Look Good Feel Better workshops.
This is the second time Totem enjoyed the privilege of hosting the annual event. “All of our various members… came down here last year and loved it,” Abbott said.
We’re looking forward to next year.
